Small Grants Program
 

The American Center also administers a Small Grants Program to support diverse projects which promote U.S. cultural traditions for Lithuanian audiences and promote academic exchanges between the two countries. Proposals are also welcome on initiatives building support for democracy and increasing respect for civil society, including human rights and civic education, transparency in government and prevention of corruption, women's empowerment and women's rights, public awareness, tolerance for disadvantaged minorities, alleviation of urgent social issues, for example, domestic violence or bullying at schools. 

Small grants may be awarded to non-governmental and non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and individuals. Proposals should be submitted in English, using grant application forms below.

Filled application forms should be signed, scanned and sent electronically to the Cultural Affairs Specialist Inga Sidrys (SidrysI@state.gov). Applications are welcome throughout the year and are reviewed monthly by Public Affairs Section and the Ambassador. Proposals are selected according to their compliance with the program criteria and funding availability.
