The U.S. Embassy announces the registration process for the Diversity Visa Lottery 2014

The DV-2014 Lottery registration period will run from Tuesday October 02, 2012, 12:00p.m., Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) until Saturday November 03, 12:00 p.m. (EDT).

The Diversity Visa Program is administered on an annual basis by the Department of State and provides a maximum of 55,000 Diversity Visa each fiscal year for countries with low rates of immigration to the United States.

The DV-2014 Lottery will be conducted entirely electronically, including electronic entry. Paper entries are not accepted and just one registration will be accepted per applicant. he Department of State has established a dedicated website for the submission of E-DV entries www.dvlottery.state.gov. This is the only website available for the DV-2014 registration.  No intermediaries are required to submit your information and registration is free.

Successful entrants will obtain a unique confirmation number provided at the registration to check online through the Entry Status Check in the website indicated above.Just applicants who have kept their confirmation page will be able to check their entry status, and if selected, receive instructions and notices.  Please print and keep your confirmation page.

These instructions should be read carefully as failure to comply with all the instructions could result in the disqualification of an entry.
