DoDEA Graduation Requirements
Zama American High School is committed to the Department of Defense Education Activity’s (DoDEA) vision for academic excellence. To ensure students in the Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) continue to have access to a quality educational program, the requirements for high school graduation have been increased. Please visit this link for the DoDEA graduation requirements: http://www.dodea.edu/students/graduation.cfm Note: Students are required to have a 2.0 or above GPA in order to receive a DoDEA High School Diploma.
DoDEA’s Six-Year Education/Career Plan is the blueprint for a high school education plan. The plan, provided to students, guides the decision making for appropriate classes to fulfill high school graduation requirements and meet future college and career goals. You can also use this six year educational plan to track your student’s requirements and class completion from home: http://www.dodea.edu/students/upload/4Year-Plan_Example-1.pdf Keeping up with your student’s progress:

CollegeBoard.Org recommends the following: Most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year in high school. At least half of all students take the SAT twice — in the spring of their junior year and in the fall of their senior year. Most students also improve their score the second time around. For the SAT Subject Tests™, most students take them toward the end of their junior year or at the beginning of their senior year. In general, you should take tests such as World History, Biology E/M, Chemistry or Physics as soon as possible after completing the course in the subject. Students tend to do better on other tests like languages after at least two years of study. SAT Add in Cat’s comments here.
