Welcome to the Passport and Citizenship Unit of the U.S. Embassy Oslo. We are open for services Monday through Friday from 8:30-12:00 by appointment only. We are closed for American and Norwegian holidays.
Note that U.S. citizens, including those who also hold another country's passport, are required by law to travel to and from the United States with valid U.S. passports. This applies to children as well as adults.
Please follow the instructions for passport renewal from this website. The instructions attached to the passport application are for citizens applying from within the U.S.A. Processing time for passports is approximately 2-3 weeks.
