Shore Protection

S3P2I is an applied research effort to assess shore protection project performance following the 2004 hurricane season in the southeastern U.S. The number of Federal shore protection projects in the affected area, the number of hurricanes, the magnitude of the storms, and the relatively short six-week period in which they occurred provide the unique opportunity to assess Federal shore protection project performance.
