PRT Baghdad Holds English Teaching Workshop

The Baghdad Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), in conjunction with the English Language Office of the Embassy Public Affairs Section, sponsored two two-day workshops for 36 Iraqi elementary English teachers in Baghdad.

The training focused on methodology to make learning English fun for children. Hands-on activities emphasized new strategies for teaching English. Language skill reinforcement, concepts and student assessments completed the sessions.

Participating teachers received books and materials that they can incorporate into their curriculum.
