Business Plan Development and Competitions

The Industrial Partnerships Office at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) collaborates with business schools and entrepreneurial centers for course required business plan development and/or ongoing business plan competitions by offering a variety of LLNL technologies that are ripe for evaluation and business development. The business students/entrepreneurs can benefit by having access to real-world and disruptive opportunities that have the potential for significant economic impact; LLNL benefits from the keen insights and entrepreneurial talents of business students/entrepreneurs in helping us define, and thus better transfer our technologies to the private sector.

For more information on the process, please refer to the Collaboration Guidelines. For more information on business plan competition opportunities click here.

LLNL technologies may have particular appeal as being both potentially novel and disruptive. It may be possible, depending on the application, to imagine commercial products developed in a reasonable time frame. These technologies can be accessed by evaluating our technologies available licensing.

If anyone wishes to prepare a business plan for any of these technologies and provide LLNL with final copies, please contact us.
