The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has developed a Model Transit Bus Safety and Security Program in cooperation with the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and other representatives from the transit bus industry.
