 BY CAR:

Travelling from Warsaw:

State road no. 7 (direction: Gdańsk), before Płońsk take state road no. 10 to Bydgoszcz (direction: Bydgoszcz). Distance: 266 km.

Travelling from Gdańsk:

Motorway no. 1 (direction: Łódź) to Nowe Marzy take road no. 1 to Świecie and then no.5 to Bydgoszcz. Distance: 161 km.

Travelling from Poznań:

State road no. 5 (direction: Świecie) to Bydgoszcz. Distance: 134 km.

Travelling from Szczecin:

State road no. 10 (direction: Warsaw) to Bydgoszcz. Distance: 236 km.

BY PLANE:

Bydgoszcz has its own airport served by LOT, Ryanair and OLT Express. The airport offers both domestic and international flights. The airport is situated 3 km from the city centre. Regular bus line 80 connects the airport with the Bydgoszcz Główna (Bydgoszcz Central) Railway Station.

BY TRAIN

There are direct connections from Bydgoszcz to many cities. The Polish Railways offer regional, express and intercity connections. It is recommended to travel by express or intercity as most trains have dining cars.

Since a large number of travellers use railway services on Fridays and Sundays, it is advisable to make a seat reservation on these days.

PKS, the biggest state owned coach company, offers connections to many towns and villages located in the vicinity of Bydgoszcz as well as to other cities in Poland.

 FERRY CONNECTIONS

Regular ferry connections are operated from Polish port cities to other cities in the Baltic Rim, e.g. from Świnoujście to Ystad and Trelleborg; from Gdańsk to Visby and Nynäshamn.
