SCHOOLS -- The School Liaison Office (SLO) coordinates with local public school to improve educational policies, services, and facilities. To contact the SLO, please visit our SLO website.

SPECIAL EVENTS --  Bayfest is an annual summer event held aboard MCB Hawaii that is open to the public. Other special events include concerts by the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band, athletic competitions (triathlons, duathlons, 10K and 5K runs, the "Swamp Romp," etc.).
 
YOUTH ORGANIZATION CAMPS --Youth organizations leaders (JROTCs, Scouts, Sea Cadets, etc.) desiring to hold a leadership/training camp aboard MCB Hawaii or Marine Corps Training Area Bellows, should send a written request to the given address at least 90 days in advance of the camp request date. Camps should be limited in size to 80 persons, and should be no more that seven days long.

VOLUNTEER REQUESTS -- If you need volunteers for a community event, please let us know at least 30 days prior to the date of your event by writing to the Editor of our weekly base newspaper, The Hawaii Marine, at the address below. Appropriate events may be published in advance of the event as space permits.

MARINE CORPS PARTICIPATION IN PUBLIC EVENTS -- Marine Corps Base Hawaii Marines regularly participate in community events such as color guard presentations, parade formations, static vehicle displays, and speaking engagements. If your organization is interested in having Marine Corps presence at your public event, please send a written request to the Public Affairs Office at least 60 days prior to the event. If regulations and training schedule allow Marine Corps support of your event, our office will coordinate that support for you. If you're interested in having the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Band perform at an event, call (808) 257-7040 or (808) 257- 7350.
