FACT 1: Teacher at Sea has accepted teachers from all 50 states, American Samoa, Puerto Rico and Guam
FACT 2: Teacher at Sea has sent over 600 teachers out on NOAA Research cruises.
FACT 3: The Mission of the Program is to give teachers a clearer insight into our ocean planet, a greater understanding of maritime work and studies, and to increase their level of environmental literacy by fostering an interdisciplinary research experience.
FACT 4: Teacher at Sea was established in 1990 by the NOAA Office of Marine and Aviation Operations.
