Public Events
Air Force bands may provide support for public events when they are of general interest and benefit to a local, state, or national audience. These events must be free and open to the public and not exclude any person by reason of race, creed, color, national origin or gender. However, Air Force bands may not participate in events that are designed to increases business traffic, raise money, or are associated with any religious, ideological movement, political campaign or commercial enterprise.
Official Military and Federal Government Events
Air Force bands may provide support for official federal government functions, and active duty, Guard and Reserve military functions as well. Examples include base open houses, change of command ceremonies, retreats, dinings in/out and picnics. These events promote Airman esprit de corps, morale and quality of life initiatives.
