Welcome to the Command and General Staff College, and congratulations as a selectee. This web site is maintained by the US Student Division (USSD). It is designed to help you get started in your preparation to relocate to Fort Leavenworth and provide you an overview of the Command and General Staff Officers' Course. Prior To ArrivalPlease Note: CGSC selectees, having a valid Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATTRS) registration will receive, through your AKO account, an e-mail from the Student Activities Program Manager in November 2012. Administrative data provided will be information and instructions to aid in the completion of the online Student Record Form, pre-requisites, and accompanying forms. Hard copy welcome packets are no longer sent! Access to the CGSC online registration requires an AKO login. You MUST arrive here with a valid CAC ID Card and an AKO account.
US Army Officers Requesting Early ReportingOfficers must receive written permission to report to Fort Leavenworth prior to the NET reporting date specified in this circular, regardless of the NET reporting date on your PCS orders. To request early reporting, you must submit a written request (via email) to your branch. Your branch must endorse the request approve or disapprove and send to the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth Officer Strength Management Section, Phone: 913-684-2005. A request template is below. Requests must include the following information: Name, Rank, Branch, SSN, class date, requested report date, current duty station and mailing address, DEROS (if applicable), current phone number and rationale for requesting early report. Each request is evaluated on an individual basis. Reporting early subjects you to duty with an activity located at Fort Leavenworth as directed by the Commander, Combined Arms Center. For additional early arrival information please contact your branch manager or USSD.
