Procedure for Submitting Documents

Electronic files for documents can be submitted by anyone who feels a document is worthy of being searchable through our library and/or posted on our NTTT website.

  • Electronic files should be submitted to the appropriate Webmaster and/or Content Person.
  • The Content Person determines where the document will best be advertised within their governed portion of the website
  • The Webmaster or Content Person will seek approval by the Approving Official
  • The document is submitted to the Librarian who catalogs and classifies the material in the Library Catalog
  • The Librarian assigns a place for the document under the appropriate headings
  • The WR Webmaster includes these materials on the Library web page and provides the live web link to the appropriate Webmaster for posting the material at any other determined advertised location.

Moving Existing Documents To OSM Technical Library

  • Regional Offices will review their web sites for Static Content
  • Save to DVD those documents that they wish the Technical Library to manage.
  • Care should be taken to record the current location or link on the Regional site for later reestablishment of link when the document is stored in the library.
  • The DVD should be sent to the OSM Librarian who will then process the documents in the manner described above.
