Lineage. Constituted as 1 Army Air Forces Combat Camera Unit on 4 Feb 1943. Activated on 12 Feb 1943. Inactivated on 9 Sep 1945. Redesignated as 1 Air Force Combat Camera Unit on 26 Sep 1947. Activated in the Reserve on 10 Aug 1948. Inactivated on 27 Jun 1949. Redesignated as 1 Combat Camera Unit on 14 Aug 1950. Activated on 2 Sep 1950. Redesignated as 1 Photographic Squadron on 16 Apr 1951. Inactivated on 8 Jun 1954. Consolidated (1 Apr 1992) with the 1361 Photographic Squadron, which was designated, and activated, on 1 Jul 1971. Redesignated as: 1361 Audiovisual Squadron on 1 Jun 1976; 1361 Audiovisual Squadron (Combat Camera) on 1 Feb 1990; 1 Combat Camera Squadron on 1 Apr 1992.
