Lineage. Constituted as 440 Food Service Squadron on 8 Sep 1950. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Oct 1950. Ordered to Active Service on 1 May 1951. Inactivated on 4 May 1951. Activated in the Reserve on 15 Jun 1952. Inactivated on 14 Apr 1959. Redesignated as: 440 Services Squadron on 10 Oct 1984; 440 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 1 Aug 1992. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Aug 1992. Redesignated as: 440 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Flight on 1 Oct 1992; 440 Services Flight on 1 Jan 1994; 440 Force Support Squadron on 15 Oct 2010.
