Activated in the Reserve on 15 Jun 1952. Inactivated on 14 Apr 1959. Redesignated as: 440 Services Squadron on 10 Oct 1984; 440 Morale, Welfare, Recreation and Services Squadron on 1 Aug 1992. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Aug 1992.
