Lineage. Designated as 6952 Electronic Security Squadron, and activated, on 1 Jan 1982. Inactivated on 30 Sep 1993. Redesignated as 52 Expeditionary Intelligence Squadron, and converted to provisional status, on 23 Jul 2010.

Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Agency to activate or inactivate at any time on or after 23 Jul 2010.
