Lineage. Constituted as 455 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 6 Oct 1942. Activated on 17 Oct 1942. Disbanded on 30 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, redesignated 455 Expeditionary Support Squadron, and converted to provisional status, on 4 Dec 2001. Redesignated: 455 Expeditionary Mission Support Squadron on 15 Mar 2005; 455 Expeditionary Force Support Squadron on 1 May 2008. 

Assignments. Army Air Forces Gulf Coast Training Center, 17 Oct 1942-30 Apr 1944. Air Combat Command to activate and inactivate at any time after 4 Dec 2001.
