Lineage. Constituted as Base Detachment, Godman Field, and activated, on 20 Nov 1940. Redesignated: 99 Air Base Squadron on 13 Jan 1942; 99 Base Headquarters and Air Base Squadron on 13 Jun 1942. Disbanded on 16 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated 99 Mission Support Squadron, on 25 Sep 1995. Activated on 1 Oct 1995. Redesignated 99 Force Support Squadron on 23 Jan 2009. 

Assignments. Unkn, 20 Nov 1940-5 Nov 1941; First Air Force Base Command, 6 Nov 1941; Second Air Force, 1 May 1942; Third Air Force, 24 Jun 1942-16 Apr 1944. 99 Support (later, 99 Mission Support) Group, 1 Oct 1995-.
