Lineage. Constituted as 140 Signal Radio Intelligence Company, Aviation on 7 Feb 1942. Activated on 14 Feb 1942. Redesignated 6 Radio Squadron, Mobile (J) on 31 Mar 1944. Inactivated on 7 Dec 1945. Redesignated 6 Radio Squadron, Mobile on 14 Nov 1946. Disbanded on 15 Jun 1983. Reconstituted, and redesignated 6 Intelligence Squadron on 9 Dec 2008. Activated on 1 Jan 2009.
