The optical station of GM/CA @ APS beamline 23-ID-D.

The GM-CA @ APS mission is to build and operate three highly automated, high-throughput Macromolecular Crystallography beamlines at the APS. Two Insertion Device beamlines (23-ID-D and 23-ID-B utilizing X-rays from a canted undulator along with one Bending Magnet (BM) line will be built at the APS Sector 23.
Construction of the beamlines optics was contracted to Accel Instruments GmbH while the endstations and the control system are designed in house.
Some details about the sector layout and beamline specifications can be found in the following PDF document.
The 23-ID-D beamline installation was completed in April'05. Currently we are commissioning the endstation. This line is expected to be fully operational in January of 2006.
The 23-ID-B beamline optics have been installed and are being commissioned. The endstation is being installed. The line will be fully operational at the end of 2006.
The BM line installation will begin at the beginning of 2006 with full operation anticipated in May of 2007
