Bridgette A. Wiley, MHSA: Health Care Ethicist

Bridgette Wiley joined the National Center for Ethics in Health Care in 2011, where she works as a Health Care Ethicist on the Ethics Consultation Service.  Prior to her appointment at the NCEHC, she was the Outpatient Clinic Coordinator at the Manhattan Campus of the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System.  During her tenure at NY Harbor, she took an active role in the IntegratedEthics program as a member of the Ethics Consultation Service.  She began her career in VHA as a Fellow in the Graduate Health Administration Training Program (GHATP) at the Washington DC VA Medical Center, where she worked on Ethical Leadership projects as the Acting Cultural Transformation Coordinator. 

 

Ms. Wiley received her B.S. in Biology with a concentration in Ethics and Healthcare from Villanova University and her M.S. in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University.  She is currently pursuing her J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law and expects to graduate in May 2013.  Additionally, Ms. Wiley is interested in emerging health care governance structures and systems approaches to performance improvement.  She is trained in the Lean/Six Sigma methodology and has served as an examiner for the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.
