DCP Programs and Resources
The NCI Division of Cancer Prevention plans, directs, implements, and monitors clinical and laboratory research focused on cancer risk predictors, chemoprevention, early detection, and supportive care.
There are 10 Research Groups in DCP. Each one is dedicated to supporting defined areas of cancer prevention science. They are: Biometry, Cancer Biomarkers, Chemoprevention Agent Development, Community Oncology and Prevention Trials, Early Detection, Nutritional Science, Breast and Gynecologic Cancer, Gastrointestinal and Other Cancers, Lung and Upper Aerodigestive Cancer, and Prostate and Urologic Cancer.
Major division programs include the: Alliance of Glycobiologists for Detection of Cancer and Cancer Risk; Community Clinical Oncology Program; Consortia for Early Phase Prevention Trials; Early Detection Research Network; and PREVENT Cancer Drug Development Program.
