IACC Subcommittees 2012-2014

Subcommittee for Basic and Translational Research
The IACC Subcommittee for Basic and Translational Research was established in July 2012 to support IACC activities around issues related to biomedical and behavioral research, research collaborations and resources, and other related issues.  This subcommittee will also be responsible for preparing information related to basic and translational research that can be used by the full committee in future updates of the IACC Strategic Plan and related IACC reports and activities.

Subcommittee for Services Research and Policy
The IACC Subcommittee for Services Research and Policy was established in July 2012 to support IACC activities around issues related to services research and services policy, including services provision, services research, access, housing, transition, social inclusion, health disparities, healthcare costs, the Affordable Care Act and safety issues. This subcommittee will also be responsible for preparing information related to services research and policy that can be used by the full committee in future updates of the IACC Strategic Plan and related IACC reports and activities.

IACC Subcommittees 2006-2012

Subcommittee for Planning the Annual Strategic Plan Updating Process
The IACC Subcommittee for Planning the Annual Strategic Plan Updating Process was created in 2009 to help the IACC plan activities to inform the annual updating of the IACC Strategic Plan for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Research. This subcommittee terminated in 2012 with the establishment of the new IACC under the Combating Autism Reauthorization Act.

Services Subcommittee
The IACC Services Subcommittee was created in 2008 to assess and improve services and supports for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Its vision is that one day, all people with ASD will have the services and supports they need and desire throughout their lifespan, helping them to reach their fullest potential. This subcommittee terminated in 2012 with the establishment of the new IACC under the Combating Autism Reauthorization Act.

Subcommittee on Safety
The IACC Subcommittee on Safety was established in October 2010 to focus on safety issues affecting the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) community. This subcommittee terminated in 2012 with the establishment of the new IACC under the Combating Autism Reauthorization Act.
