BUNAC

Under the British Universities North America club (BUNAC) Blue Card Internship Program, American students and recent graduates can spend up to six months as interns with UK companies and organizations. 

As a designated program sponsor, BUNAC is authorised to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship to U.S. students and recent graduates after they have pre-arranged an internship in the United Kingdom and been accepted into the BUNAC program.  All internship positions are subject to UK National Minimum Wage (NMW) legislation.

Applicants must:

• Be aged 18 or over
• Hold a valid U.S. passport or legal permanent residency card
• Be a full-time, degree-level student or a recent graduate (internship must begin no more than 12 months after end of last period of study)
• Hold an acceptable internship offer in the United Kingdom for six months or less
• Have sufficient support funds (a minimum of $1,600 as of March 2010)
• Provide proof of adequate medical and accident insurance coverage for the full duration of their stay in the United Kingdom (not less than $1.5 million as of March 2010; BUNAC can assist in arranging insurance cover)
