Serbian and American Youth Exhibition at Dom Omladine

On Friday, April 1st, U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Mary Warlick, Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Snezana Samardzic Markovic and State Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science Tinde Kovac Cerovic attended the closing event of the Serbia Youth Leadership Program (SYLP) at Dom Omladine.

The occasion marked the culmination of the three-week visit to Serbia by 19 American high school students who have been traveling around the country and staying in the homes of local communities. They joined up with approximately 50 Serbian students who went to the U.S. last year as part of SYLP. Together the students presented photos displays, slide shows, and short presentations on their experiences in each other’s countries.

SYLP is one of a variety exchange programs offered by the U.S. Embassy in Serbia. Each year, more than 100 individuals from Serbia – high-school and university students, academic scholars, as well as professionals from the public and private sector-- travel to the America on exchange programs sponsored by the United States Government.
