Conference Marks Opening of Milton Glaser Exhibit

U.S. Embassy Belgrade helped support the International Conference entitled Designer: Artist or Universal Soldier, to be held from March 10th to 12th, 2010 at the Robna Kuca store, Knez Mihailova 5, Belgrade.

A press conference announcing all of the events associated with Designer: Author or Universal Soldier, will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by Steven Heller's lecture and by the opening of Milton Glaser's graphic design exhibit "Drawing is Thinking" at 8:30 p.m. at Robna Kuca store, Knez Mihailova 5. The exhibition will officially be opened by Cultural Attaché, Susan Delja and renowned artist Mirko Ilic.

Milton Glaser is one of the most significant living graphic design authors and the creator of legendary I {} NY logo. He co-founded the revolutionary Pushpin Studios and New York Magazine and his artwork has been featured worldwide. The Life Achievements Award can be found amongst one of his many other awards received throughout his life.
