Embassy Supports "Cat on A Hot Tin Roof" at Opera Theatre Madlenianum

The U.S. Embassy is proud to support the translation of the award-winning play "Cat on A Hot Tin Roof" by American author Tennessee Williams. This work received a Pulitzer Prize in 1955 and was made famous by the 1958 Hollywood film with Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor. This play has been an integral part of the Broadway scene for decades.

With Ivana Vujovic as director and a wonderful drama ensemble, we are expecting that "Cat on A Hot Tin Roof" will once again be a big hit in Belgrade.

"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" is scheduled to open on October 22, 2009 at 7:30 p,m, at Madlenianum.
