U.S. IOOS Data

A primary focus of U.S. IOOS is integration of and expedited access to ocean observation data for improved decision making. The Data Management and Communication (DMAC) subsystem of U.S. IOOS serves as a central mechanism for integrating all existing and projected data sources.

Data from U.S. IOOS partners, including the eleven IOOS Regional Associations and sixteen federal agency partners, are integrated and available through U.S. IOOS Data Catalog and Asset Viewer.

U.S. IOOS Regional Coastal Ocean Observing System Data

The regional coastal and ocean observing systems provide data, products, and services to characterize the past, present, and future state of the marine environment.  These characterizations include analyses of historical data, alerts based on current conditions, forecasts of future conditions based on model predictions, and products tailored for end users.
