Fees

For payment for the services rendered by the American Services Unit, we only accept payment in U.S. dollars and euros. For passport issuance that requires a personal appearance you may use cash, or credit cards issued by American Express, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover.

For all by-mail U.S. passport services only the French money order called “mandat cash” is accepted. See example of the mandat cash (PDF-266) available at any French post office. please send your mandat-cash to the Consular Section of the Consulate General in Marseille with your by-mail application.

Please check the Consular exchange rate to determine the euro equivalent. A service fee will be charged by the French post office for this form. The mandat-cash should be made out to the order of the “Consulat Général des Etats-Unis.”

For payment in euros, see the Consular exchange rate to determine the euro equivalent. You may also use a postal money order, mandat cash form (PDF, 266 kb)) available at all French post offices.

For payment in cash, please bring the exact change on the day of your appointment in Marseille.

We do not accept personal checks.
