U.S. Commercial Service Assistance for U.S. Companies

For U.S. firms interested in exporting to Oman, we offer business counseling, export promotion services, and a wealth of information on opportunities and companies in the Omani market.

The International Company Profile is one of our fee-based services providing a comprehensive background check on Omani companies, reporting on its owners, sales, business activities, and its suitability as a business partner for U.S. companies. Trade and bank references (when available) are used in forming an opinion and making recommendations. Turn-around time to deliver this report is usually thirty work days from the date of accepting the Participation Agreement.

Cost: Small Medium Enterprise (SME) company*: US$600.00; large company: US$900.00; SME new-to-export companies using service for the first time: US$350.00

International Partner Search is offered to U.S. companies interested in identifying prospective agents/distributors for their products in Oman. We will work with you to understand what you would like to accomplish in terms of business, and would then call upon our contacts to try to find good prospective matches for you to consider as partners. This is a popular service with U.S. companies wanting to test this market for the level of interest for their products/services.

Ten full sets of your company product literature and your company web-site address, if available, would be required to provide this service. Turn-around time from the date of receiving the product literature is usually thirty work days.

Cost: Small/medium-sized company*: US$550.00; large company: US$1,400.00; small/medium new-to-export companies using service for the first time: US$350.00 

Gold Key Service: This service provides representatives of U.S. firms who plan to visit Oman pre-screened and pre-qualified potential contacts such as agents, distributors, sales representatives, or strategic business partners.  The Gold Key Service (GKS) is typically focused on potential clients, though in the case of Oman, these are often government-based.  Lead time for GKS is typically six weeks (after company profile/brochures are received) and includes hotel and transportation logistics for the visit.

Cost:  Small Medium Enterprise (SME) company*: US$700.00; additional day of appointments for SME company: US$300.00, large company: US$2,300.00; additional day of appointments for large company: US$1000.00; SME new-to-export companies using service for the first time: US$350.00.

Business Facilitation Service: This service provides a contact list of companies operating in the field. This will not be a vetted list of partners. The cost is US$250.00. Turnaround time is two weeks.

* A Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) is defined as a firm with five hundred or fewer employees or self-certified as a small business under U.S. Small Business Administration regulations. A large company is defined as a firm with more than five hundred employees. Subsidiaries will be classified based on the size of the parent company

International Trade Events

We connect you with U.S. companies displaying and demonstrating their products and services at U.S. Department of Commerce-certified trade shows. Every year, we organize a trade delegation from Oman to Arab Health, the world’s second largest trade show for the healthcare industry. U.S. Trade Events

Through our International Buyer Program, we take you to major U.S. industry trade shows to meet pre-screened U.S. suppliers. From travel logistics to scheduled introductions and on-site business counseling, we strive to help you optimize your trade show experience. Business Service Provider Listing

U.S. Embassy Muscat has introduced a new listing of local Business Service Providers interested and willing to provide services to U.S. companies that are looking to export or do business in Oman.  This new marketing tool will position your company at the forefront when American exporters and investors are looking for service-providers in Oman.  We will direct inquiring U.S. companies to the BSP directory to look for partners to help them with establishing business on the ground in Oman.

 The Business Service Provider (BSP) directory is intended to provide an additional reference resource to U.S. exporters doing business in Oman.  Any company providing services that facilitate the assessment, financing or completion of an export transaction, including companies that support U.S. businesspersons traveling or residing in Oman, is eligible to participate in our BSP Directory, given positive basic company vetting.  Your BSP listing will include your company name, description, contact information, logo and hyperlink for $300 for a single category or for $500 for an unlimited number of categories. Your company listing on our on-line Business Service Provider directory will reach thousands of potential customers across the United States.
