The State Department issues country specific information on every country of the world by giving information regarding crimes, entry requirements, areas of instability, address of the U.S. Embassy and consulates, and other general information.

  • Travel warnings are issued when the State Department decides, based on all relevant information, to recommend that Americans avoid travel to a certain country.
