General Information

The chief mission of the Consular section at Embassy Khartoum is to assist U. S. citizens. Consular Officers are prepared to assist their fellow citizens in a number of ways, such as replacing U.S. passports, registering the birth abroad of U. S. citizens, providing notarial services, and providing extra passport pages. There are, however, some things they cannot do. For example, a Consular Officer can neither perform marriages nor obtain the release of U. S. Citizens from prison.
