The U.S. Embassy's Economic and Commercial Office engages in commercial diplomacy, such as advocacy on behalf of American businesses, assistance in opening markets, protecting intellectual property and investigating trade and investment disputes.  The U.S. Embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay, does not have a U.S. Department of Commerce-sponsored Foreign Commercial Service Office.

U.S. business persons may wish to contact a U.S. Department of Commerce Export Assistance Center, where trade specialists will be pleased to provide guidance on exporting U.S. products or services to international markets.  Please visit the U.S. Commercial Service website, to locate the Export Assistance Center nearest you.
