American FactFinder (Aff) is the primary means for accessing 2007 Economic Census data. AFF is a database system, accessible free on the Internet, that gives users access to the same Economic Census data that were published in previous censuses in AFF, on DVD- or CD-ROM, in PDF, and in various static hypertext displays.

Potential Uses

Population data is useful for tracking population changes based on past, present and future population results and for comparing demographic components of change within an area.
Economic data is useful for determing market shares, operating ratios, business to business marketing, targeting sales, monitoring business activity, preparing legislation, and conducting research. Additionally, data is useful for analyzing economic changes over time and serving as a benchmark for statistical series, surveys, and databases.

Reliability of data
Census Bureau section 515 information quality guidelines establish a basic standard of quality (including objectivity, utility, and integrity) as performance principles for the Census Bureau and comply with all applicable section 515 information quality guidelines of OMB and the Department of Commerce.
