The Management and Budget Branch represents the Regional Administrator in management, budget, and administrative support functions, and is the primary liaison between the Region and the NMFS Headquarter for budget and planning activities. It provides staff support for the Region's budget formulation and execution activities and is the focus for management of the Region's financial resources. The staff advises on resource alternatives and identifies the management impact of resource allocations, retrenchments and reprogramming. The administrative services provided include small purchase procurement, property management, safety (personnel, small boats, building, Continuity of Operations Program, etc.), space utilization, office supply and equipment leasing and maintenance, mail distribution, and reproduction services.
