Openings and Closings for Presidents Day Holiday
In observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday, Howard County Government offices, senior centers, courts and the animal shelter will be CLOSED on Monday, February 18. The landfill will however be OPEN and REGULAR trash and recycling services will be in effect, i.e. trash and recycling pickup will NOT slide on Monday. While most Recreation and Parks’ facilities and parks will be open as normal, a few will only be open for scheduled programs. For a complete list of opening and closing information, click here.

Since receiving $72 million in federal stimulus funding to manage the Inter-County Broadband Network (ICBN) in 2010, Howard County has been leading the effort to propel the state of Maryland to be a premier economic and technological hub throughout the 21st century.
