Lineage. Established as 446 Air Base Group on 11 Apr 1955. Activated in the Reserve on 25 May 1955. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 17 Jan 1963. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Mar 1986. Redesignated as: 446 Combat Support Group on 1 Apr 1990; 446 Support Group on 1 Feb 1992; 446 Mission Support Group on 1 Oct 2002.
 
Assignments. 446 Troop Carrier Wing, 25 May 1955-17 Jan 1963. 446 Military Airlift (later, 446 Airlift) Wing, 1 Mar 1986-.

Stations. Ellington AFB, TX, 25 May 1955-17 Jan 1963. McChord AFB (later, Joint Base Lewis-McChord), WA, 1 Mar 1986-.
