Lineage. Established as 311 Air Base Group (Special) on 13 Jan 1942. Activated on 21 Jan 1942. Redesignated as 311 Service Group on 13 Jun 1942. Disestablished on 20 Dec 1943. Reestablished, and redesignated as 311 Air Base Group, on 17 Sep 1998. Activated on 1 Oct 1998. Redesignated as: 311 Mission Support Group on 1 Oct 2002; 311 Air Base Group on 2 Oct 2009.
