Community-Based Outpatient Clinic

The purpose of the Community Based Outpatient Clinics is to provide primary health care to eligible veterans using available resources. Primary health care means non-emergent care for veterans with stable chronic health problems or minor acute illnesses.

The CBOC is not equipped to provide emergency services. If emergency services are needed, you should seek treatment at the Hilo Medical Center* emergency room.

Veterans wishing to enroll for care in this clinic may call or visit the any weekday.

  • Personal Care: Highly qualified primary care providers, specialty care referrals to the Pacific Islands Health Care System.
  • Laboratory: Blood drawing services available.
  • Prescriptions: Routine prescriptions processed through the mail or My HealtheVet.

Driving Directions

Head west on Airport Rd (Mokuea St) to exit airport and continue to intersection of Kekuanaoa St and Kanoelehua Ave.  Turn right onto Kaneolehua and continue to the intersection of Kamehameha Ave and Kanoelehua Ave, turn left onto Kamehameha Ave.   Continue until the intersection of Kamehameha Ave and Waianuenue Ave, turn left onto Waianuenue Ave.  Continue on Waianuenue Ave, the clinic will be on the left, across Hilo Medical Center.
