Joint Base Andrews is home to Air Force District of Washington's 11th Wing -- the base's host wing -- with several partner units on base including Air Mobility Command's 89th Airlift Wing, the 79th Medical Wing, the Air Force Office of Special Investigation headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command's 459th Air Refueling Wing, D.C. Air National Guard's 113th Wing, the Naval Air Facility, and Army and Marine Corps detachments.

 The 11th Wing is the host wing for Joint Base Andrews providing security, personnel, contracting, finance and infrastructure support for six Wings, two Headquarters and more than 50 tenant organizations, as well as 60,000 Airmen and families in the national capital region and around the world. The 11th Wing supports contingency operations in our nation's capital with immediate response rotary-assets. It also provides security for the world's highest visibility flight line and is responsible for ceremonial support with the United States Air Force Band, Honor Guard and Air Force Arlington Chaplaincy. Honor Guard

 The Honor Guard is a selectively manned unit with more than 210 ceremonial guardsmen and support personnel assigned. Organizationally, the Honor Guard consists of three ceremonial flights, made up of Colors, Bearers, and Firing Party qualified personnel. The USAF Honor Guard also operates the Drill Team.  The U.S. Air Force Band inspires citizens to heightened patriotism and service; strengthens relations with Allies, coalition partners and international friends; and pays tribute to those who have given their "last, full measure of devotion."
Utilizing the powerful medium of music, The U.S. Air Force Band helps forge new bonds between the United States and the worldwide community, transcending language and connecting people. The excellence demonstrated by the professionals on stage is a reflection of the excellence carried out 24 hours a day by Airmen stationed around the globe. U.S. Air Force Chaplaincy

 The Air National Guard Readiness Center is responsible for ensuring ANG Field Units are properly resourced to train and equip for State and Federal missions across the entire spectrum of Military Operations. They also provide unparalleled Wingman support sustaining ANG Airmen throughout the entire mission duration/career.  Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) is composed of three wings and one group. The 11th Wing at Bolling Air Force Base, and the 79th Medical Wing and 11th Wing at Andrews Air Force Base. Also under AFDW is the 844th Communications Group. The 79th Medical Wing and 844th Communications Group both have specialized missions where they will be the single Air Force voice in the National Capital Region (NCR) for their respective fields of expertise. Both the 11th and 11th Wings will fulfill duties as the host base organization of Bolling and Andrews, respectively, while also supporting AFDW requirements.  The Naval Air Facility Washington, D.C., is one of only five Navy Reserve bases in the United States. Its objective is to ensure Navy reservists have full access to the most current weapons systems available. NAF Washington has consolidated the functions of an Air Facility, a Naval Operational Support Center, and a Readiness Command under the umbrella of NAFW to ensure Navy Reservists mobilization is effective and efficient. The NAFW mission is to provide training and readiness support for four Navy squadrons, two aviation detachments, and 133 reserve units - consisting of more than 3,900 personnel.
