Advisory to MODIS Atmosphere Product Users

Effective July 28, 2010, NOAA/NCEP is updating the model that provides
MODIS algorithms with 6-hour gridded (GDAS) atmospheric temperature and
moisture profiles. We are still investigating the impacts of these
ancillary data changes on MODIS products, but we anticipate that
retrieved cloud-top temperatures and pressures along with some cloud
optical properties may be impacted. We will update this advisory after
conducting further analysis of these impacts.
