English Creates Opportunities (ECO) Camp Teachers
July 16 - 20, 2012
Program Overview
The Public Diplomacy section of the U.S. Embassy in Managua is pleased to announce its fourth “English Creates Opportunities” (ECO) camp for secondary school students and is seeking qualified, professional English teachers to participate in this intensive English language program.
The ECO camp is a five day program that provides a total immersion English course experience where participants will be exposed to accurate English in authentic contexts and will communicate with one another only in English, thus enhancing their language skills for real-world interactions.
The ECO staff is formed of committed and professional English language teachers from both Nicaragua and the United States of America. All qualified English teachers interested in teaching in the ECO camp from July 16-20, 2012, are encouraged to apply to this program. The selected teachers will work in coordination with Peace Corps Volunteers during the camp, offering the opportunity to co-teach and learn from each other about different aspects of American and Nicaraguan cultures.
