The U.S. Consulate General in Naples is Italy's sole immigrant, fiancé(e), and diversity visa-issuing post and is responsible for processing immigrant, fiancé(e), and diversity visa applications for residents of Italy, Iran, and Malta. The Consulate provides these services by appointment only.

American citizens resident in the United States, legal permanent residents of the United States, and employers based in the United States who wish to file immigrant or fiancé(e) visa petitions for residents of Italy should contact their nearest Department of Homeland Security-Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services office in the United States. American citizens resident in the United States, legal permanent residents of the United States, and employers based in the United States who wish to file immigrant or fiancé(e) visa petitions for residents of Malta should contact their nearest Department of Homeland Security-Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services office in the United States. Immigrant Visa (IV) Shipping Notice

  • If your immigrant visa (IV) was refused under section 221(G), for example if you were missing required documents, you must return in person for another interview.  You should ensure that you have all missing documents prior to scheduling your appointment.  Your appointment can be scheduled through the Visa Information Service.  The Visa Information Service contact information is available under the “Contact Us” section of this website.
