U.S. citizens living in Zambia have many of the same concerns and issues. We share information with those U.S. citizens who have enrolled in the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler program in three main ways:

  • Messages for U.S. Citizens: Urgent messages sent via email or text messaging (SMS). See our Traveling in Zambia page for recent messages.
  • Consular Communicator: The Consular Communicator is the quarterly newsletter from the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka and is designed to provide helpful information to the American community in Zambia.
  • Facebook: This is the general Facebook page of the US Embassy of Lusaka, Zambia. We encourage you to become a fan to follow the Embassy’s work.

Let us know about your skills that we could use in the case of an emergency. Complete the DS-5506 form and send it to us at ACSLusaka@state.gov.
