Special Non-immigrant Visa Day for Emirati citizens on Wednesday, May 30

As a courtesy to our hosts, the Emirati people, and in order to ensure that those who are planning summer travel to the United States have a chance to do so, the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and U.S. Consulate General in Dubai will hold a special Non-immigrant Visa Day for Emirati citizens on May 30.  Note that only Emirati citizens will be interviewed on this day and by appointment only.  Non-Emirati family members or staff will need to obtain an appointment using the online appointment systems of either the Embassy or Consulate General.   

Please read the following instructions carefully. 

• Requests for one of the appointment spaces available on May 30 must be made in advance by e-mail.  No walk-ins will be allowed.  Each applicant requires an appointment.  When all spaces have been filled, we will post a notice on this webpage.   
• If you both work and live in Dubai or the northern Emirates, you must request an appointment at the Consulate General in Dubai by sending an e-mail to DubaiVisa@state.gov.  
• If you both work and reside in Abu Dhabi, you must request an appointment at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi by sending an e-mail to AbuDhabiNIV@state.gov.   
• If you live in Abu Dhabi, but work in Dubai or the Northern Emirates (or the reverse), you may apply at either the Embassy or Consulate General.  
• Mark the subject line of your e-mail as “Request for May 30 appointment” to ensure we can process your request quickly.  Your e-mail must include the full name and passport number for each family member requesting an appointment.   We are unable to respond to questions via this process.  For general non-immigrant visa information please refer to the Embassy or Consulate General’s websites.     
• You will receive a confirmation of appointment within three working days.  Please print and bring this confirmation with you on May 30.  
• All requirements for a tourist/visitor visa application as set out on the Embassy and Consulate General’s websites must be met, including fully completing the online DS-160 visa application form, and providing a current photo and receipt for payment of the non-immigrant visa application fee for each applicant.   
• If you are offered an appointment on May 30, but had already made an existing appointment via our online systems, please cancel your online appointment to allow someone else to take that space.
