Marco Vicenzino, Director of the Global Strategy Project visited Copenhagen

Marco Vicenzino, director of the non-profit, non-patisan organization the Global Strategy Project (GSP), addressed multiple audiences on the situation in Afghanistan, visiting both the Copenhagen Business School, The Danish Atlantic Treaty Association, and at the Royal Danish Army Academy during his two-and-a-half days in Denmark. He also gave interviews to Berlingske Tidende and Kristeligt Dagblad and was interviewed by DR2's current-affairs program Deadline.

At his presentations, Mr. Vicenzino touched on numerous aspects of the current situation in Afghanistan. He particularly noted the complexity of the situation involving numerous state and non-state actors both inside and outside the country. He also noted the importance of studying the long and difficilt history of Afghanistan if one wants to understand the dynamics of that country. His lectures gave the audiences insight into the current situation on the ground in Afghanistan as well as into the global politics behind the current multinational efforts in Afghanistan.

Regarding the outcome of the current efforts in Afghanistan, Mr. Vicenzino noted that, a present, the nations involved should seek stability in Afghanistan, and, that given an appropriate time frame, that goal is achievable.
