Ambassador Fulton visits Tivoli and enters a world of furry animals, mermaids, and ice cream
On April 15, 2010 Ambassador Fulton participated in Tivoli’s opening and the opening of Zoo Land, a new section in the Build-A-Bear Shop in Tivoli. The visit was especially interesting for the Embassy's mascot, Teddy, who got to meet a lot of new friends at Build-a-Bear. Along with Teddy was also the Danish education mascot Emu. Teddy and Emu co-host a web site that aims to educate Danish kids and youth aged 7 to 18 about the U.S. The site is made in collaboration with UNI-C, an agency under the Danish Ministry of Education. Ambassador Fulton - and mascots - then went on to visit Cold Stone Creamery. The Ambassador met with, among others, Managing Director of Tivoli Lars Liebst and CEO of Build-A-Bear CEO Claus Nielsen. Finally, Ambassador Fulton also participated in the unveiling of a replica of the Little Mermaid that will sit inside Tivoli.
