Misawa Port and Protected Beach

• Check out Misawa Fishing Port. The port has a weekend festival in early September but you can see the fishing fleet and maybe the unloading of shrimp boats if you're lucky.
• The beach at the south end of the port is in an area that is protected both from the port/fishing operations and from the waves and currents of the ocean. There is a playground and there are changing facilities at the beach.
  

Directions

• If you drive out the POL/Falcon gate, take a left at the second stoplight (Lawsons).
• If you exit the main gate, take the first left.
• Follow this road until it T's at Hwy 338.
• Turn right (south) on Hwy 338.
• Take a left at the next stop light. This will lead directly to the port. When you reach a T at the port, turning right will lead you directly to the beach.
