Arrest of American Citizen
U.S. Embassy Oslo should be notified immediately when an American citizen is detained by the Norwegian police. If arrested in Norway, American citizens should request that the U.S. Embassy Oslo be notified. Family members and friends should likewise notify the U.S. Embassy Oslo of the arrest of an American citizen in Norway, if there is any chance that the detained American has not been able to make contact directly.
